Heather's Story
A Story That Became a Mission
Heather Freligh is alive today because people around her acted quickly during a sudden cardiac arrest emergency at school.
But her survival revealed something bigger:
Too many schools and communities are not prepared.
No plan.
No training.
No immediate access to lifesaving tools.
Heather’s story sparked real change — including legislation requiring cardiac emergency response planning in schools — but there is still more work to be done.
That’s why this foundation exists.
Our Mission
What We Do

✔ AED Readiness & Access
We help schools and youth programs obtain and maintain lifesaving devices.
✔ Emergency Response Planning
We support campuses in creating and practicing cardiac emergency plans.
